HMP Wealstun are seeking a Band 4 Instructor to support our working week objectives by managing a workshop, ensuring production and quality standards, and delivering recognised qualifications to prisoners.

Responsibilities

  • Day‑to‑day operation of a workshop, maintaining production and quality standards.
  • Deliver training and facilitate learning for prisoners.
  • Create an inclusive, learner‑focused work environment.
  • Support staff development and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant experience in a workshop or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and policies.
  • Evidence of planning, delivering, and assessing training.
  • Successful completion of relevant security and identity checks.

Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid working is available where business needs allow, blending work from your base location, MoJ sites, or from home.
  • The role must be based in the UK.
