Responsibilities

  • Provide first line management for a team and deliver work routines in the area of responsibility.
  • Line-manage staff, apply HR policies and conduct performance management, disciplinary investigations, and staff appraisals.
  • Contribute toward the development of local policy, procedures and practice and ensure consistency of application.
  • Manage devolved budgets in accordance with financial procedures.
  • Ensure achievement of Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs) and standards.
  • Attend relevant unit meetings to provide feedback on good practices.
  • Analyse and act on data collected by the Hub; produce reports.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into local and national systems.
  • Monitor Hub performance.
  • Draft all external and internal communications on behalf of the Hub.
  • Provide Head of Function with management information relating to the area.
  • Act as first point of contact for external stakeholders.
  • Act as requisitioner or approver depending on local policy.

  • Standard full-time working hours: 37 hours per week (excluding unpaid breaks).
  • Annual leave (pro-rated for non-standard work patterns); entitlement calculated on a pro-rated basis.

  • Flexible working options subject to satisfactory probation and management approval.
