Responsibilities

  • Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings, including processing and handling sensitive information and accurately determining outcomes.
  • Create and update digital records and interpret information accurately required on a court file.
  • Communicate with the Public, the Judiciary, other Court and Tribunal Users and representatives of other Agencies and Organisations.
  • Act as first point of contact for court users, including vulnerable witnesses and their legal representatives.
  • Prepare court/hearing rooms and ensure courts run efficiently.

  • Digital and administrative skills; excellent attention to detail.
  • Communication and organisational skills; confident communication in person, telephone, digital and written forms.
  • Resilience and empathy to deal with sensitive information and situations.

Working Arrangements

  • Standard full-time working hours are 37 hours per week.
  • This is a business-critical role requiring full‑time hours Monday‑Friday.
  • Occasional travel to other courts (Truro Combined Courts TR1 2PB, Truro Magistrates TR1 1HZ, Bodmin Law Courts PL31 2AL).

Location

  • Based in Truro Combined Courts TR1 2PB with regular travel to Truro Magistrates and Bodmin Law Courts.

Immigration Skilled Worker Visa: this role is not eligible for new Skilled Worker visas under current immigration rules.
