The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 € per year.
The role is a permanent post with funding agreed until March 2029. After this time you may be redeployed to another SAO role. The position requires access to additional intelligence systems such as the multi‑agency ‘Visor’ system, and you will be expected to undertake additional vetting for this once you commence in post, in addition to pre‑employment checks.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction to partner agencies and manage daily and monthly performance reporting for the IOM cohort.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with statutory, non‑statutory, third‑sector and voluntary agencies to diversify interventions available to scheme participants.
- Negotiate with partners to deliver agreed service levels and ensure proper case management and genuine results.
- Facilitate IOM case review meetings, circulate information, take notes and communicate decisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate multi‑agency assessments and risk assessments, sometimes negotiating with agencies on risk of re‑offending.
- Maintain knowledge of interventions available to persons on the scheme across police, probation, housing, voluntary sector and other agencies.
- Ensure information is shared appropriately and in a timely manner using agreed protocols and data‑protection compliance.
- Support Probation IOM SPO and Police Tactical Leads in problem‑solving approaches to intervention coordination, balancing enforcement with support, counselling and rehabilitation.
- Act as point of contact for referrals to the scheme and provide guidance to practitioners and wider stakeholders.
- Gather national IOM strategies and best practice and share this with the partnership.
- Scope and identify suitable persons for the scheme, research and process referral applications, and maintain records.
- Update police and probation systems, including Delius, IDIOM and other relevant systems.
- Support collection and presentation of performance‑management data to assess local IOM practices.
- Maintain computer systems in accordance with Data Protection Legislation and manage Information Shared Agreements.
- Collaborate with Youth Offending to manage the Young Persons IOM scheme and facilitate smooth transition to Probation.
- Use problem‑solving to support multi‑agency responses to community safety issues.
- Oversee electronic monitoring for Acquisitive Crime and liaise with prisons to ensure licence conditions and relevant activities are recorded.
Eligibility and Visa Information
From 22 July 2025, the Government increased the salary threshold and skills level for Skilled Worker visas. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for sponsorship in accordance with the current immigration rules if you are applying for a Skilled Worker Visa for the first time. Contact the vetting team to discuss eligibility if you hold a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 22 July 2025. Successful applicants must have and maintain the legal right to live and work in the UK.
Working Arrangements
The role can be worked in a hybrid arrangement, blending your base location, MoJ sites, and/or working from home. The role must be based in the UK.
