The predicted salary is between 28000 - 32000 £ per year.

We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join the Midlands AED team in a Project Support role, working closely with the Head of Projects and Programmes. This is a key role supporting the delivery of a varied portfolio of projects, helping to ensure coordination, strong governance and steady progress across all activity.

Strong communication skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be confident engaging with a range of stakeholders, gathering updates from Project Leads, and clearly presenting information for the Portfolio Board. You will play a key role in ensuring information is accurate, timely and well communicated across the team.

The role will involve supporting project meetings, consolidating updates, and preparing presentations and reports. You will maintain governance processes, including managing risk logs, action logs and decision tracking, ensuring actions are followed up and projects remain on track.

Good technology skills are important, including confidence in using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and other project management systems to track progress, analyse information and produce high-quality outputs. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Leads, building strong working relationships and providing support to help drive delivery. There will also be opportunities to take ownership of smaller projects, using initiative to keep work moving forward and resolve issues as they arise.

There is a requirement for you to attend the office based at Newbold Revel on a weekly basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, confident, and able to work at pace, with a strong focus on supporting delivery, coordination and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

  • PRINCE2 Foundation or willingness to undertake the necessary training.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office products, particularly MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Previous experience supporting project governance and reporting within a public sector or similar environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
