The Resettlement Function in the East of England has regional oversight of Probation OMiC and Pre‑Release Teams across 15 prisons, spanning both public and private establishments. The scale, geography and operational complexity of this function mean the Business Manager role is function‑specific, rather than a standard site‑based post.

The role supports delivery across a wide geographical footprint and requires regular engagement with Senior Leadership Teams across all prisons, as well as Prison Group Directors and Probation senior leaders. Occasional travel to different sites is an integral part of the role to enable effective oversight, assurance and partnership working.

Reflecting the complexity of prison‑based resettlement, the Business Manager provides specialist support for regional coordination, governance and emerging operational pressures.
