The predicted salary is between 28800 - 42000 Β£ per year.

Due to the security status of this prison, a Counter-Terrorism Check (CTC vetting) will need to be undertaken. Proof that you have been a resident in the UK for the last 3 years is needed to complete the CTC vetting process. Applicants who do not meet the residency requirement will not be able to take up post at this prison. (please refer to CTC section below)

Minimum Requirements

  • be at least 18 years old at the point you commence employment
  • meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements (see nationality requirements section below)
  • pass a medical and fitness assessment as part of the application process
  • meet the required eyesight standard in both eyes (both with and without corrective lenses)
  • have a suitable standard of hearing (without the use of hearing aids)
  • ensure tattoos are not offensive, discriminatory, violent, or intimidating in any way, including facial tattoos unless for cultural, religious, or medical reasons

Additional Information

This is a merit vacancy, and successful candidates will be placed on a merit list for 12 months. If unsuccessful, a six-month waiting period applies before reapplication.

Medical and fitness assessments must be completed in the UK. Salary depends on weekly hours worked, with options of 37, 39, or 41 hours per week.

Benefits include 25 days\' annual leave (rising to 30 after 10 years), public holiday pay, a Civil Service pension, and other schemes.
