Psychology Services Group are expanding to develop a specialist treatment management service to support the delivery of the accredited programme Building Choices, alongside other rehabilitative activity in prisons. This is an exciting development for you to join a team delivering a service to help reduce reoffending and protect the public, embedded in a clinical service. You will be managed through the psychology line and supported in your professional development.
The Specialist Treatment Manager will have responsibility for the quality oversight, facilitation and delivery of Accredited Programmes and related interventions in custody which address offending behaviour. This will include moderate and high intensity, offered in group or individual formats, as well as provision for those presenting with learning difficulties and challenges. Successful candidates will be allocated a base location where they will be based for the majority of their working time; travel to other prisons across the Midlands region may be required to support Offending Behaviour Programme delivery across the Region. All travel will be in line with MOJ travel and subsistence policy and guidance.
Responsibilities- Oversight, facilitation and delivery of Accredited Programmes and related interventions in custody addressing offending behaviour (moderate and high intensity, group or individual formats).
- Provide for learners with learning difficulties and challenges as part of service delivery.
- Travel to other prisons across the Midlands region as required to support Offending Behaviour Programme delivery; travel in line with MOJ policy.
- Evidence of experience relevant to accredited Intervention Services programmes and ability to maintain accreditation standards.
- Specific membership requirements as indicated in application materials.
- Specific licence requirements: trained in the delivery of an accredited Interventions Services programme; please upload a Word Document listing the accredited Interventions Services programmes you are trained in.
- Written and spoken English proficiency as part of the application requirements.
- DBS Enhanced clearance (level of security checks required).
The MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working that blends working from your base location, different MoJ sites and/or from home. Some roles will not be suitable for Hybrid Working. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate(s) and subject to regular review.
For nationally advertised roles, the successful candidate(s) will be appointed to a MoJ office location, which may include their nearest Justice Collaboration Centre or Justice Satellite Office. This will be discussed on completion of pre-employment checks.
Some of MoJ’s terms and conditions of service are changing as part of Civil Service reform. The changes will apply to staff joining MoJ who are new to the Civil Service. Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto the new MoJ terms if they are already on ‘modernised’ terms in their current post or onto ‘unmodernised’ MoJ terms if they are on ‘unmodernised’ terms at their current post. Details will be available if an offer is made.
Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week excluding unpaid breaks. HMPPS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs. If you are a current NPS employee, this vacancy may be available on a Loan basis for up to 2 years. Applications are invited from suitably qualified staff.
