Pay Rate: Β£12.95 per hour
Join a supportive team at OPG Embankment House in Nottingham, providing dedicated onsite administrative support to an OPG officer who is visually impaired. This is a role where accuracy, clear communication and the right IT confidence truly make a difference-helping ensure information is captured correctly, documented properly and published on time.
What you'll be doing:
- Type out and/or dictate handwritten information and evidence so it can be read by JAWS
- Transfer bank statement figures into spreadsheets in a JAWS-compatible format
- Create documents that mirror Sirius forms, as JAWS may not recognise expanding text boxes on some documents
- Cut and paste content from the alternative documents into the correct Sirius forms
- Publish letters on Sirius, ensuring formatting (e.g.headers/text positioning) is accurate before sending
- Spell-check letters/forms (as current software cannot)
- Verify that inbound documents are complete-checking for attachments, handwritten alterations/corrections and correct decimal points
- Support the officer with phone calls from Deputies, including helping navigate Sirius (e.g. opening the right case/account) when needed
- Maintain organised, timely administrative progress across cases
What you'll bring:
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management; able to work independently and proactively
- Strong IT skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience or confidence working with accessibility tools/software such as Dragon, Otter AI, ZoomText and JAWS (experience with JAWS/accessibility is a plus)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan and deliver your own workload, including when deadlines are tight
- Desirable: experience supporting people with reasonable adjustments/accessibility barriers (wider disability support experience is transferable)
- Experience producing accurate, detailed notes summarising key points from conversations/meetings
Additional information:
- You must be able to pass a clear Standard DBS check and provide proof of Right to Work in the UK
- Provide 3 years referencing details
If you're detail-focused, confident with IT and want to make an immediate, meaningful impact in a supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you.
