Role Overview

Our Team Leaders play a critical role in helping deliver justice and this role will enable you to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills. You will be responsible for making sure your team deliver business objectives through providing excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary and management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team to deliver outstanding service and business objectives.
  • Provide excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary and management.
  • Prioritise, plan, allocate and manage work to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Manage attendance, performance and reward and recognition processes.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse data to make informed decisions and improve performance.
  • Handle difficult and challenging situations and resolve problems swiftly and professionally.
  • Use IT systems, learn new applications and adapt to change.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Capability to analyse data and make effective decisions.
  • Proficiency with IT and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Basic DBS clearance; understanding of Civil Service security checks.

Working Arrangements

The role is a Fixed Term contract of up to 12 months based at either Norwich Magistrates Court or Ipswich Magistrates Court. The position is office‑based with a minimum of 60% time required in the office. Saturday working is required (two Saturdays per month on a rota basis). Regular travel to other courts may be required for cover.
