We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Senior Administrative Officer (SAO) to join our dynamic Service Centre based in Norwich, supporting the London Probation Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of high‑quality business support services that underpin frontline probation operations. The postholder will play a central role in maintaining efficient processes, supporting operational teams, and enabling the smooth running of a busy and fast‑paced service environment.

Working closely with the leadership team, the SAO will act as a vital link between teams, stakeholders and partner agencies, helping to drive performance, maintain compliance and support continuous improvement across a wide range of administrative functions.

The MoJ offers hybrid working arrangements where business need allows. The role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. For nationally advertised positions, successful candidates will be appointed to a MoJ office location, which may include their nearest Justice Collaboration Centre or Justice Satellite Office. Standard full‑time working hours are 37 hours per week excluding unpaid breaks. The HMPPS welcomes part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing working patterns where they meet the demands of the role and business needs.
