Job holders within this Group Profile provide administrative support to managers and frontline staff, undertaking transactional work in a specific area. The role is non‑operational and may involve contact with prisoners depending on the area of work. It does not include line management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise, produce and maintain accurate records for the area of work
  • Act as the contact point for all communications to the team, prioritise and distribute communications to the appropriate person or department within the establishment
  • Complete monitoring returns for the area of work
  • Enter requisitions into the finance database and process them for the defined area of work
  • Coordinate awareness sessions related to the area of work
  • Prepare paperwork for manager checking, conducting initial checks as required
  • Correspond with relevant stakeholders and agencies to ensure information is adequately shared
  • Maintain and check establishment databases, manual filing systems and logs of information, responding within agreed timescales and producing reports as required
  • Collate information relating to relevant Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs)
  • Act as secretary to meetings as required, including organising agenda, taking, distributing minutes and action points

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates will need to pass a DBS Standard security check and complete the required Technical Test.

Working Hours & Flexibility

Standard full‑time working hours are 37 hours per week, excluding unpaid breaks. Hybrid working arrangements are available when business need allows, but the role must be performed within the UK.
