The job holder will undertake the full range of work with people on probation before and after sentence. This will include assessment, sentence implementation, offender management and producing reports. The job holder will provide case management support to a full range of people on probation utilising service procedures and practice directions that underpin professional judgement. In this role the PSO will deliver the offender management regime that supports safe, effective reintegration.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assessment and risk management for offenders under community supervision.
- Implement sentence elements and monitor compliance.
- Produce accurate, timely reports for courts and relevant agencies.
- Support offenders in practical matters such as housing and employment.
- Analyse and adjust case management plans in line with service procedures.
- Collaborate with agencies across the justice system to provide a coordinated response.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
- No degree required; experience working with people who have social or personal difficulties is essential.
- Strong written communication skills – ability to produce clear, accurate reports to tight deadlines.
