Our Operational Support Officers play a critical role, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to court and tribunal users, judiciary and management. Working as part of a team, you will progress cases through the court/tribunal system and support the smooth running of court proceedings, preparing papers, files, meeting court users, and handling sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings.
- Create and update digital records accurately.
- Communicate with the public, judiciary, court users and agency representatives.
- Support courtroom logistics and ensure efficient proceedings.
- Serve as the first point of contact for court users including vulnerable witnesses.

Working Arrangements
Standard full‑time hours are 37 per week (Monday to Friday). Part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing arrangements are considered from 30 hours per week. Occasional Saturday or bank holiday work may be required; no Sunday work. All working hours and days may vary and will be agreed with the line manager. A day off in lieu will be awarded for Saturday or bank holiday work when required.
