Overview
The Programme Facilitator delivers accredited programmes and structured interventions to individuals on community orders or licence after release.
The role involves group and one‑to‑one facilitation, risk and progress monitoring, record keeping, liaison with courts and agencies and provision of workshops and briefings to probation staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver group and individual sessions on programmes such as SMART, ATP, DBT, and other evidence‑based interventions.
- Manage group dynamics, address challenging behaviour, and maintain a safe and structured environment.
- Monitor progress, risk and wellbeing throughout the intervention and keep accurate records.
- Share insights and insights with relevant teams, including Probation Practitioners and Domestic Abuse Safety Officers.
- Work closely with courts and criminal justice agencies to support sentence management.
- Provide workshops and briefings to probation staff and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in delivering rehabilitation programmes to offenders, preferably in a probation or criminal justice setting.
- Strong facilitation, communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to develop self and others and manage quality service delivery.
- Proven record of working in unsocial hours, evenings and Saturdays.
- Willingness to travel to multiple locations within the region.
- Successful completion of a 6‑month probationary period and training assessment.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting salary £28,064, with potential progression through the competency‑based framework.
- Unsocial hours payment: 50% premium for Saturdays and 30% for evenings.
