The predicted salary is between 28000 - 35000 £ per year.

Working within a Regional Hearing Centre (RHC), you will support the effective administration of Tribunals business on a national scale by undertaking a range of complex case work and assessment activity. You will determine how best to advance caseloads and remove any barriers to effective and timely case progression. Working independently with the support of a wider team, you will make informed decisions on how best to process appeals, allowing all better access to justice. Under the supervision of a Senior Legal Officer and the leadership judiciary, you will make case management decisions as part of your delegated judicial powers and liaise with key stakeholders and HMCTS colleagues to ensure the effective administration of justice.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration of Tribunals business on a national scale.
  • Undertake complex case work and assessment activities to advance caseloads.
  • Identify and remove barriers to effective and timely case progression.
  • Make case management decisions within delegated judicial powers.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and HMCTS colleagues to deliver justice.
  • Work independently while coordinating with a wider team.

Qualifications

  • A law degree or equivalent technical experience desirable.
  • Technical experience includes a demonstrable transferable decision‑making aptitude, working within a set framework or guidance, and previous precedents under supervision.
  • Ability to reflect on an issue and take an informed and impartial approach to work.
  • Confidence in communication and decision‑making.
  • Strong evidence‑based decision skills and the ability to understand and communicate a wide range of information.
  • Experience in engaging with court users and communicating with multiple levels of stakeholders.
  • Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
