The MoJ offers hybrid working arrangements within the UK, blending work from a base location, MoJ sites, and home. The role is based in central London at 102 Petty France and requires attendance at least three days a week. The position is a temporary Band 5 Intelligence Analyst covering maternity leave for approximately 12 months. It is open to suitably qualified staff, including those on a loan or secondment basis for up to two years.
Responsibilities
- Assess risk and take defensible decisions, often under time pressure or with limited information.
- Maintain the highest levels of integrity and discretion at all times.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota with appropriate compensation for unsocial hours.
- Fulfil policy and legislative requirements, navigate sensitive issues diplomatically, and act as a gatekeeper for the Sensitive Intelligence Unit.
- Build and nurture strong working relationships with partners to achieve common safety and crime-prevention goals.
- Attend the central London office for standard opening hours (08:00-18:00, Monday to Friday) and comply with a 37-hour work week.
Requirements
- Hold or be able to obtain a DV clearance prior to starting the role.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, good grasp of policy and legislative requirements, and diplomatic handling of sensitive issues.
- Be willing to work flexible hours and engage in a 24/7 on-call rota.
