Residential Worker – Approved Premises Based at Glogan Approved Premises in Bridgwater. Hybrid working is not suitable. Annualised hours: choose 625 or 1250 hours per year. This equates to one or two 12‑hour shifts each week across a 24‑hour cycle, seven days a week. Unsocial hours are paid at premium rates and may attract additional allowances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of offenders transitioning from custody into the community, ensuring successful resettlement.
  • Monitor the well‑being and supervision of Approved Premises residents while helping them comply with licence conditions and maintaining safety.
  • Conduct inspections, observe behaviour, and positively engage with residents.
  • Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Provide support across additional sites if required.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Friday: 7 pm to 8 am – 30% premium payment.
  • Public/Bank Holidays: 8 am to 8 am – 50% premium payment and time off in lieu.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with people who have social or personal difficulties.
  • Empathy, patience and resilience.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills for report writing.
  • No university degree required.
