Our Team Leaders play a critical role in helping deliver justice. This role will enable you to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills. You are responsible for making sure your team deliver excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary and management.

About us

HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales.

Your role

  • Lead and manage the administrative team, prioritising and organising work to meet objectives.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and operational performance.
  • Collect and analyse performance data, conduct reviews, recommend improvements and manage implementation of new initiatives and legislation.
  • Support team wellbeing and motivation.

Your skills and experience

  • Ability to motivate and support your team to deliver excellent customer service and effective performance.
  • Experience in an administrative role in a customer-focused environment.
  • IT proficiency with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.

Working arrangements

Standard full‑time working hours are 37 hours per week. Part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing patterns are accepted where they meet the demands of the role and business needs. A minimum of 30 hours per week is required.

Hybrid working may be available on a non‑contractual basis, with a minimum of 60% of hours spent in an office; arrangements are discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
