We are recruiting two Court Delivery Managers (HEO) for Birmingham Crown Court and Warwick Crown Court within the HMCTS West Midlands Crime Region. The role will lead and manage Court Clerk teams to provide a smooth, efficient, and customer‑focused service in a fast‑paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Court Clerk team at your site.
  • Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership ensuring service delivery standards are met.
  • Support staff with immediate operational needs and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the judiciary, supporting agencies, voluntary groups and users.
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Ensure health and safety, IT/workstation compliance and raise any court facilities issues to HMCTS Estates.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, targets and training plans for the team.
  • Contribute to regional performance objectives and support the Operations Manager.
  • For Birmingham role – lead regional operational compliance across the West Midlands Crime Region, implementing and monitoring compliance processes.
  • For Warwick role – focus on efficient daily operations and high service standards for the local team.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a court, legal or operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge or experience of compliance frameworks.
  • Proactive, quality‑focused, and able to lead teams in a process‑driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across external stakeholders.

Working Hours & Conditions

  • Standard full‑time: 37 hours per week.
  • Part‑time, flexible or job‑sharing patterns may be agreed, with a minimum of 32 hours over 5 days.
  • Hybrid working is available where business needs allow – a minimum of 60 % of the time must be spent in an office.
  • The role is office‑based and solely in the UK.
