HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) manages criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales. This role focuses on the efficient and effective management of a field team that executes warrants on behalf of HMCTS.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and plan the workload of an autonomous field team that executes warrants in accordance with HMCTS instructions.
  • Deploy bailiffs and manage individual performance to achieve efficient use of resources and effective disposal of business.
  • Ensure governance and assurance around the safe and secure receipt, accounting and transfer of money and personal data.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, ensuring they are organised and fully skilled to meet objectives, using Lean TIBs, SOPs and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Assist in the delivery of performance against targets.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK or EU driving licence, fit to drive.
  • Own road‑worthy vehicle for work purposes (available at the time of offer; optional lease scheme after probation).
  • Insurance for work‑related travel.
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK Civil Service.
  • Confirmation of Skilled Worker visa eligibility if applicable.

Working Hours & Conditions

  • Standard full‑time working hours are 37 hours per week.
  • Part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing arrangements may be considered subject to role demands; minimum hours for part‑time are 30 hours per week.
  • Hybrid working may apply, with at least 60% of time spent in office.
