Working in a privately managed establishment within the Controller's team reporting to the Deputy Controller. Responsible for day-to-day administration and supporting the work of the Controller's team in managing the contract.
Responsibilities
- Contract Monitoring: support the Controller/Deputy Controller in formal monitoring arrangements, monitor compliance with operational requirements, undertake audits, identify failures by contractor staff, observe operations, maintain working knowledge of the Contract, analyze Prison Service Instructions and orders, forward information on new and revised instructions, prepare papers for monthly meetings.
- Performance Management: analyze and present quarterly performance progress, develop and maintain a database for quarterly reviews, identify failures, monitor key performance targets/indicators, ensure incident and data returns are checked and validated, prepare relevant statistical performance data and reports.
- Office Management and Administration: support minute-taking for QCRM, maintain supply of stationery, provide reception arrangements, maintain electronic file management system, coordinate communications, prepare written materials, record receipt of requests and complaints, perform role of Deputy Information Assurance Manager.
- Investigations Support: monitor investigations carried out by the Contractor into allegations against Contractor, work with SSC to monitor procedures for suspension and revocation of Prison Custody Officer Certifications, assist with commissioned investigations.
- IT Management: serve as On-site Quantum Point of Contact for IT and telephony issues, maintain the Quantum Asset register, ensure local IT policy and contingency plan are available.
- Secretary of State Duties: sign licences for release of prisoners, represent the Controller's Team at meetings, liaise with stakeholders, complete other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Experience in contract monitoring, performance management, office administration, investigations, or IT management in a public sector or prison environment.
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills.
- Knowledge of Prison Service Instructions, Orders and related procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with I-Proc and Quantum Point of Contact training or willingness to undertake training.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements where business need allows. The role can only be worked in the UK.
