  • Build strong relationships with judiciary, probation, prison services, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely listing of cases and resolve delays or complex issues proactively.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong relationship-building skills – to be able to form positive working relationships with colleagues, judges, solicitors, and other professional court users.
  • Strong communication skills – to be able to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, some of whom will be very senior, and ensure external stakeholders are abiding with judicial directions.
  • Strong organisational skills – to keep track of a wide range of cases and the actions required to progress them.
  • Strong analysis skills – to identify cases that may need additional support and take action accordingly.
  • Good IT skills – to be able to record and track cases via the court’s IT systems such as Common Platform.
  • A working knowledge of the criminal courts system.
