Our Judicial Liaison Officers play a critical role in helping deliver justice. This role will enable you to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills. You are responsible for making sure your team delivers excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary and management. Strong leadership is a critical element in this being successful. Jobholders who have responsibility for managing staff will be required to provide clear direction and focus, visibly championing the changes which deliver greater efficiencies. The HMCTS Executive Team expects managers in the organisation to operate in a culture of openness and honesty, demonstrating a commitment to change through involvement and empowerment, and by delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead your team with a focus on your area of work, ensuring work is prioritised and organised and that the team is fully skilled to meet objectives.
  • Contribute to the delivery of operational, performance and service standard targets and provide statistical data for the management team and judiciary.
  • Monitor and analyse performance areas and trends; conduct ongoing reviews of procedures and work practices; successfully recommend improvements and manage the implementation of new initiatives and legislation.
  • Support the Operations Managers of the Judicial Secretariat and the Judicial Liaison Managers in ensuring the business needs of the Regions are met through the successful and efficient deployment of judicial resources.
  • Act as the single point of contact for the judiciary across your respective Region and help ensure effective communication with the judiciary at Cluster level.
