Key Information
Successful candidates will be expected to work at least one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday. Our teams work seven days a week, so Saturday or Sunday will be part of your working week. Community Payback Supervisors will be paid a higher rate of 50% for weekend days worked.

Applicants must hold a full UK manual driving licence. Automatic licences are not accepted.

Overview of the job
This operational role directly supervises work groups of offenders serving a community sentence. Duties include driving service vehicles to transport people or equipment, supervising work sites and ensuring tasks are carried out to the best of their ability. You will demonstrate good practice and model behaviour.

About the role
Community Payback Supervisors will work with a diverse mix of individuals, requiring empathy, good communication skills and a willingness to lead. You will supervise and motivate small teams to complete unpaid work hours, including tasks such as clearing overgrowth, restoring community facilities, planting trees, laying flowerbeds, litter picking and graffiti removal.
Working pattern
The role accommodates flexible working for people on probation or with caring responsibilities. Projects run seven days a week, so you will work frequent weekends and may be asked to cover evenings. Part‑time work may be possible in some regions. Rest breaks may not always occur in the standard way; the team will ensure your wellbeing is looked after.
Salary
Your starting salary will be £26,475.
