Term: Permanent Interview: Video conference via Teams Important Salary Details: New recruits to the Civil Service joining MoJ are expected to join at the band minimum. Existing Civil Servants applying on promotion, will usually be appointed on the salary minimum of the new pay band, or receive an increase of 10 percent on the current base salary, whichever is higher (This is restricted to the pay maximum of the new band). Reserve List: HMCTS run a Reserve List, where candidates who are unsuccessful at interview by only a few points, can be offered other roles, at the same band, for up to 12 months. Build and maintain a network of workforce leads from all DTS business areas and be the single point of contact regarding workforce planning. Build and maintain a network of those supporting Workforce Planning in the business groups, HR and Finance Business Partners. Provide accurate forecasting on vacancies to inform financial and team planning. Track and report on planned reduction in managed service provider costs. Create new tools, guidance and templates to drive workforce planning maturity across DTS. Promote best practice, coaching stakeholders and take forward new initiatives, with upskilling colleagues being a passion and clear objective. Develop an expertise around the themes that support workforce planning, e.g., location strategy, labour market, skills & capability, megatrends, automation, lead the business in understanding the impacts of these themes. Deliver against OKR’s, identifying potential risks and mitigation, providing affordable workforce solutions to underpin effective business led action planning and reflect the expected future shape, size and geographical footprint of the workforce. Deliver presentations that are tailored to audience needs to provide business reports and insights. Produce board level papers to ensure that the executive board has an accurate picture of the workforce. Produce corporate communications relaying workforce insights and plans. Be able to draft urgent commissions at short notice. Ensure quality and consistency of DTS job adverts and GDD links. Manage and support PSR contract process. Line Management of 1 x HEO The direct team are geographically dispersed so there is a requirement to attend the teams strategic face to face meetings every month as a minimum. In addition, attendance at the wider Business Operations face to face meetings held quarterly in either Birmingham Manchester London is required. Contribute to the booking and chairing of team meetings and business operations meetings and content for meetings on a rota basis. Prepare and present content as required for those meetings and the DTS staff forum. As part of the DTS People and Professions team 2 yearly Job rotation requires SEOs and their direct Heo reports to possess a certain level of versatility and adaptability to perform well in different roles, subject to necessary capability support being provided Essential Criteria: Experience of workforce planning processes and procedures, or a good understanding of the key principles involved. Skilled in building strong working relationships to understand customer needs, deliver complex information and generate β€˜buy-in’ from key stakeholders. Experience of working collaboratively across teams, confidently with senior colleagues, with a broad range of diverse and demanding stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to derive insight from multiple data sources, use of data to support debate, statistical analysis and problem solve complex challenges. Experience of managing complex issues and juggling priorities. Strong drafting/writing skills with the ability to produce Board level papers; corporate communication messages; and tools and guidance that are fit for purpose. Desirable Skills And Knowledge: CIPD accreditation, a related field, or a willingness to study to achieve it. Knowledge of workforce trends e.g. emerging trends, government influence, employment trends, skills development.
