If so, we have an opportunity for a Policy Adviser to join our team at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and we\’d love to hear from you!

Our work was established following the Grenfell Tower tragedy to ensure high-rise buildings are safe and that residents feel secure in them, now and in the future. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Leaseholder Protections team at a pivotal time. The team is currently focused on delivering the Remediation Bill and strengthening consumer protections for leaseholders. These legislative efforts build on the foundations of the Building Safety Act 2022 and aim to ensure that leaseholders are safeguarded from unfair costs and have clear, enforceable rights. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering these reforms, working closely with Ministers, legal teams, and stakeholders across government. You will contribute to the development of primary and secondary legislation and help implement policies that improve transparency, accountability, and fairness in the housing sector. We particularly welcome candidates from an ethnic minority background and other underrepresented groups to apply, as we work to continually improve our ability to represent the places and communities we support through our work.
