Humphrey M&E Consulting Engineers are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, Senior Electrical Design Engineer to operate from their office based in Boldon, South Tyneside or to operate remotely (depending upon the home location of the candidate). The position is primarily, although not exclusively, to assist in the support of our major clients that serve the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Justice. The projects generally have one to several months design periods and are varied in nature, giving the appointed engineer an ever-changing and interesting range of design duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree qualified, or practical experience with recognised academic qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and client representatives.
- Capable of contributing meaningfully to meetings with clients, project teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems—calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, models, specifications and related documents.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guides and good practice.
