Overview
Are you a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager with a strong background in Health & Safety? Do you hold the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) qualification and have previous experience managing teams? We are looking for a dedicated professional to ensure the smooth operation of facilities management whilst prioritising Health, Safety and Environmental Protection in a high-security environment at Perrone Lines, Catterick Garrison. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Cyber & Specialist Operations Command (CSOC) unites Defence\\\’s cyber and specialist capabilities and operates across all UK domains. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work within a CSOC Site and contribute to the health, safety and wellbeing of all personnel on site.
Role context: Carrying out all the duties of the Building Custodian for all buildings within the Site; Perrone Lines, ensuring buildings are compliant with Health and Safety, including Fire and COSHH legislation, and conducting monthly building inspections.
Responsibilities
- Carry out Building Custodian duties for all buildings within Perrone Lines, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Fire, COSHH and related legislation; conduct monthly building inspections.
- Conduct COSHH, DSE and SHEF risk assessments; ensure findings are raised with the H&S lead and that staff are conversant with SHEF, COSHH and DSE.
- Conduct Health & Safety inductions for Catterick Integrated Care Centre (CICC) and issue FOB access keys as required; maintain induction and FOB registers.
- Line management and mentoring of a team (this role has 4 direct reports).
- Maintain oversight of infrastructure and equipment issues across the Site; coordinate with the Site Manager to address problems and deficits to ensure the building is fit for purpose.

Requirements / Qualifications
- Facilities management experience with a strong Health & Safety focus.
- IOSH qualification (or equivalent) required.
- Experience managing a team (4 direct reports).
- Ability to conduct risk assessments (COSHH, DSE, SHEF) and implement controls.
- Knowledge of Fire safety, COSHH, DSE and SHEF regulations.
