Working in the Station Support Unit at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks, you will work closely with military, civil servant, and contractor colleagues. You will be one of two main points of contact for all ammunition management and will need to keep up to date with legislation, policy and guidance. You will also be expected to undertake additional duties as required, reflecting the broader support responsibilities across the Grantham Station Support Unit (GSSU). The Ammunition Storekeeper supports the Quartermaster (QM) on all issues of ammunition management. You will work as part of the QM's team delivering all aspects of support to units within Prince William of Gloucester Barracks.

  • Essential Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of account management, policies and practice, and provide evidence of managing an effective account management system.
  • Excellent time keeping skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to maintain good working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external parties.
  • Communicate information clearly and effectively, both verbally and written.
  • High standards of professional integrity and attention to detail.

Qualifications to be completed within first 6 months:

  • Ammunition Storekeeper course.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Management of Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) course qualified.
