Role Description
The Nursery Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality early years education and care to children in the setting.
Day-to-day tasks include planning and leading age-appropriate activities, supporting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, and maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
The role involves observing and recording children’s progress, communicating with families about their child’s development, and working collaboratively with colleagues to implement the nursery’s curriculum and policies.
The Nursery Educator will follow safeguarding procedures, support inclusive practice, and contribute to continuous improvement within the setting.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Luton.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Education, with experience supporting early years learning and child development.
- Ability to plan and deliver effective Lesson Planning and Training activities tailored to different ages and needs.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear, respectful interaction with children, families, and colleagues.
- Relevant early years or childcare qualification (e. g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent).
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practice in early years settings.
- Ability to work as part of a team, show initiative, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Experience in a nursery, preschool, or similar childcare environment is highly beneficial.
