Role Overview
The Studio Manager is the in-studio leader responsible for creating an exceptional MiniLuxe experience for clients and team members while delivering strong business performance. The role owns daily studio standards, team engagement, client hospitality, scheduling discipline, KPI performance, and talent development.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service and Hospitality Excellence
- Deliver a warm, elevated, and consistent guest experience across every touchpoint.
- Resolve client concerns with urgency, care, and accountability while protecting the relationship and brand trust.
- Coach the team on hospitality behaviors, rebooking language, add-on recommendations, and service recovery standards.
- Build Superfan loyalty through personalized service, consistency, and follow-through.
Talent Engagement and Empowerment
- Recruit, onboard, coach, schedule, and retain a high-performing studio team across Hosts, Nail Designers, Wax Specialists, and Leads.
- Own Host development, including execution of the 10-day Host training plan and bringing new Hosts to standard within their first 90 days.
- Partner with Training, Education, and Field Leadership to support Designer leveling, MIT readiness, and internal talent progression.
- Create a culture rooted in trust, accountability, feedback, recognition, and MiniLuxe values.
Quality, Brand, and Studio Standards
- Uphold MiniLuxe Clean Culture, hygiene protocols, safety expectations, service quality, merchandising, and brand presentation every day.
- Maintain operational readiness across inventory, supplies, scheduling tools, service rooms, and back-of-house routines.
- Use timely, direct coaching to address standards in the moment and sustain consistency.
Commercial Acumen and Hustle
- Own studio performance against revenue, cash contribution, productivity, profitability, and service-mix goals.
- Act on peak-day staffing, premium services, waxing revenue, Superfans, indirect labor, and designer retention.
- Translate dashboard insights into weekly action plans, huddles, scheduling decisions, and coaching priorities.
- Lead with entrepreneurial pride of ownership and accountability for both the client experience and business result.
Qualifications and Capabilities
- Previous leadership experience in hospitality, beauty, wellness, retail, or another service-based business.
- Ability to coach performance, develop talent, build accountability, and lead through change.
- Ability to read business results, act on KPIs, and translate priorities into operational routines.
- Strong communication, organization, scheduling discipline, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to MiniLuxe Clean Culture, brand standards, client experience, and values.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods. Final experience and team-size requirements by level require HR confirmation.
What Success Looks Like
- The studio delivers consistent hospitality, service quality, cleanliness, and brand presentation.
- The team is staffed, trained, coached, retained, and engaged against business needs.
- Revenue target achievement, cash contribution, peak-day staffing, premium services, Superfans, waxing revenue, indirect labor, and designer retention are actively managed.
- Hosts and MITs are developed through defined training milestones and documented coaching.
