Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Care Assistant - Weekends at MiNightVet Woodbridge based in Melton. Part‑time, 21 hours a week across Saturday & Sunday. Permanent.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join as a Weekend Veterinary Care Assistant at MiNightVet Woodbridge, Melton. As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of promoting pet wellness, preparing for surgeries, supporting patient recovery, and offering reassurance to owners. You will support our team of qualified RVNs and Vets to provide outstanding care to patients in an emergency & critical care environment.
- Nursing care to patients
- Assisting Vets and Nurses in restraining animals for treatment
- Cleaning, walking, and feeding patients
- General cleaning and maintenance duties
- Restocking equipment & supplies
- Covering the receptionist desk, including answering queries, booking appointments and taking payments
What we’re looking for:
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Experience in looking after animals in a veterinary environment would be desirable
