MiNightVet Plymouth is looking for an Out-of-Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join our established, supportive, and highly skilled ECC team. With strong clinical expertise on site, excellent facilities, and a flexible rota, this is a fantastic role for someone who thrives in emergency work and wants to develop further.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary up to £75K FTE
  • 1 week in 6 of night shifts (7pm-8am)
  • Optional daytime hours during off-weeks if desired
  • Single-site position
  • Varied ECC caseload - supporting multiple local practices
  • Supportive night structure - sole charge with an experienced RVN, plus a Twilight Vet until 10:30pm
  • Longstanding team - vets have been with us 3-4 years
  • Flexible approach to rota planning

Clinical Team & Expertise

Work alongside an experienced, skilled team, including:

  • An Advanced Practitioner in ECC
  • A surgery certificate holder on site
  • A vet currently completing a Diagnostic Imaging certificate
  • An AVP in Dentistry
  • A culture that actively supports certificates and clinical interests

Our Equipment

We're well equipped to handle challenging ECC cases, with:

  • Top-of-the-range ultrasound
  • DR digital radiography
  • Endoscopy equipment
  • Well-equipped theatre and diagnostics

About the Role

You’ll lead on overnight emergency and critical care cases, supported by a capable RVN team and Twilight Vet. The rota offers predictability, balance, and the chance to work on an interesting and varied caseload.
