Miniclip is looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in digital games and entertainment with a mission of ‘unleashing the gamer in everyone’. We develop, publish and distribute over 60 games, which reach over 400 million game players each month across the world.
Role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the Group Financial Accountant will be a key member of the team, responsible for consolidated financial accounting and reporting for the Miniclip group, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal policies and external regulatory requirements. You will lead the monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes, provide technical accounting expertise and work closely with studio finance teams across multiple geographies to ensure alignment with the Group’s policies and procedures. This is a full‑time role with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office). Please apply only if you have the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation processes, including maintaining the consolidation chart of accounts and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls.
- Prepare timely and accurate group consolidated financial statements, management reports and variance analysis.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Partner with the Shared Service Centre, FP&A, Tax and Treasury teams to support group‑wide financial processes.
- Collaborate with studio finance teams across multiple regions to support reporting processes and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare technical accounting papers on significant transactions and complex areas, including IFRS15 Revenue from contracts with customers, IFRS 3 Business Combinations and IFRS 2 Share‑based payments.
- Support the integration of new acquisitions into the Group reporting processes.
- Support the implementation of finance transformation projects, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 optimisation, finance process automation and system enhancements.
- Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, controls and systems.
- Manage relationships with the external auditors and coordinate the year‑end audits.
Skills and Experience
- Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
- Demonstrated post‑qualification experience in group financial accounting, control and reporting roles within a complex or multinational organisation.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP with experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable working with teams and stakeholders across multiple regions.
- High‑quality results‑driven individual, with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Organised, adaptable and able to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with financial systems and business intelligence tools (Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power BI are beneficial).
