This role will strengthen the Front-End Development team in London and play an important role in Trade Nations Greenfield web development initiatives. You will be responsible for building new customer-facing experiences, working closely with Product to clarify and challenge requirements, developing high-quality React solutions, and collaborating with our QA Engineers to ensure everything you deliver is robust and production-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on project requirements
  • Designing, developing, and implementing new software features
  • Collaborating with team members to identify and fix bugs in existing code
  • Creating tests to ensure code quality and functionality
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues in development and production environments
  • Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical documentation for software components
  • Documenting code changes, enhancements, and newly developed features
  • Working closely with senior engineers, project managers, and designers to understand project requirements
  • Attending team meetings and contributing to project planning and execution, with a commitment to delivering feature development in two-week sprints
  • Engaging in continuous learning and professional development to improve skills and expertise
  • Accurately tracking work status and communicating blockers and progress to the team
  • Controlling the release of code into production environments
  • Thoroughly testing and validating releases to prevent disruptions in production

Requirements

  • Experience working with commercial and/or financial systems
  • Exposure to APIs, authentication, and secure data handling
  • Strong hands-on experience delivering projects in a commercial environment
  • Solid understanding of Agile ways of working
  • Proficiency with modern React, including hooks and context
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, CI pipelines, and Git-based workflows
  • Experience developing for Payload or another Enterprise CMS
