Location: Handsworth Grange Community Sports College
Pay scale: NJC Grade 4, Scale Point 7 Β£26,403 to Β£28,598 Gross Per Annum Pro Rata
Actual Annual Salary: Β£22,710 to Β£24,598 (Under 5 Years of Service)
Contract: Permanent β 37 hours, term time (39 working weeks)
Start date: September 2026
Handsworth Grange Community Sports College are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and capable Cover Supervisor with well-developed interpersonal skills to:
- Provide cover teaching for classes by delivering set work in the absence of their scheduled teacher.
- Be able to liaise with teachers to discuss cover work set for planned absence and to provide feedback about student progress and behaviour following the covering of lessons.
- Be able to support the use of ICT in delivering lessons and learning activities.
The successful candidates will have a flexible approach and the confidence and presence to manage whole classes in a professional manner. Applicants should have very good literacy and numeracy skills and the ability and desire to work with young people. Training and support will be provided to enable you to carry out your duties successfully.
The closing date is 9.00am on Friday 11 September 2026 and interviews will take place week commencing 14 September 2026.
