About the Role
Minerva, in partnership with our global client specialising in health and disability assessments, is seeking GMC-registered Medical Practitioners to join their expanding team. As a Functional Assessor, you will:
- Conduct assessments via telephone or video consultations to understand how a person’s health condition or disability affects their daily life.
- Use your clinical judgement and communication skills to evaluate the impact of various conditions.
- Produce factual, evidence-based medical reports that help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine eligibility for disability benefits.
- Complete assessments typically last around 45 minutes, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided to ensure your success.
What We’re Looking For
- GMC-registered Doctor with a minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience (FY2 or above).
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work towards individual and team goals within a supportive environment.
- Broad medical knowledge, with experience managing a range of physical and mental health conditions.
