The Product Lifecycle Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring data-driven decision-making across the full lifecycle of collagen beauty and health supplements. This role combines strategic insights, product performance tracking, and market intelligence to guide product innovations, optimise current offerings, and ensure sustained competitiveness. The candidate will act as a bridge between commercial, regulatory, marketing, and R&D teams, proactively identifying opportunities and risks from concept through post-launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular market and competitor analyses across global markets (EU, UK, US, MENA, APAC).
- Monitor trends in collagen, nutricosmetics, women's health, and functional ingredients to inform NPD opportunities.
- Assist the product lifecycle from launch planning to portfolio rationalisation and sunset strategies.
- Analyse internal product performance including sales trends, consumer reviews, returns, and compliance feedback.
- Collaborate with R&D and Regulatory teams to recommend reformulations or format adjustments based on performance, cost, and innovation trends.
- Identify white space opportunities through consumer insight analysis and category benchmarking.
- Track pricing structures, promotional activity, and positioning of key competitors in different markets.
- Build and maintain dashboards for product KPIs, lifecycle stages, and international performance.
- Support go-to-market strategies and market entry evaluations.
- Work closely with Quality and Ops teams to optimise lifecycle efficiency and reduce underperformance risk.
- Assist in post-launch reviews and propose actions for improving future launches.
- Help maintain a comprehensive product portfolio database with up-to-date metadata, claims, status, and risk levels.
Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Science, Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or similar.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in FMCG, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, or health tech sectors.
- Proven track record in product performance analysis and market insights.
- Highly proficient in Excel, Power BI or similar analytics tools.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., EFSA, FDA, CPNP) is an asset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
OKRs (Objectives & Key Results):
✅ Deliver 3 comprehensive market analysis reports per year identifying new trends or gaps in the collagen/nutricosmetic category.
✅ Provide performance benchmarking for at least 90% of existing portfolio.
✅ Identify 3 new white space innovation opportunities based on cross-market trend data.
✅ Develop and roll out a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework across the portfolio.
✅ Recommend at least 2 underperforming SKUs for reformulation, repositioning, or delisting with full analysis.
✅ Achieve 100% SKU status clarity (active, at risk, end-of-life) with documentation across markets.
✅ Support 100% of new product launches with pre- and post-launch market analysis.
