Minerva Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Residential Support Workers to join a warm and supportive childrens home in Hatfield (AL10). This Ofsted-registered home provides care for children and young people with emotional, social, complex, and behavioural needs. The homes ethos is built on providing safety, stability, and a nurturing environment during periods of challenge and change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people with their daily routines and overall well-being
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding (when required)
- Implement care plans and work alongside key workers to provide consistent, nurturing support
- Encourage participation in activities and support development of life skills
- Observe, monitor, and report changes in behaviour, health, or emotional state
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
- Complete accurate documentation and records
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, families, and other professionals
- Be available to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
