We are currently seeking a proactive and hands-on Estates Officer to join a busy Estates and Facilities team, overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a portfolio of multi-tenant buildings. This is a temporary opportunity with potential for a permanent position following the initial 3-month term.

The Opportunity: This role is key to ensuring the smooth running, compliance, and functionality of key office sites and buildings.

You will:

  • Ensure buildings are safe, compliant, and meet the needs of the people working within them
  • Oversee facilities such as maintenance, cleaning, and contractor coordination
  • Manage installations, refurbishments, and planned works

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and clear down rooms for meetings and events
  • Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and ensure building safety compliance
  • Raise and manage reactive maintenance jobs with contractors
  • Oversee general upkeep, including rubbish disposal and repair coordination
  • Manage risk assessments, health and safety checks, and contractor sign-offs
  • Respond to facility-related complaints and maintain accurate records
  • Support budget management for ongoing estates work
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (evenings/weekends)

What You'll Bring:

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • IT literate and comfortable using building management systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience writing and updating risk assessments
  • Ability to manage a varied and busy workload
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Basic understanding of facilities budgeting and maintenance tracking
