Minerva Nursing is seeking Paediatric Nurses (or Nurses with experience working with children) to provide one-to-one care for a young person recovering from surgery. This role offers the chance to deliver meaningful, tailored care that genuinely changes lives not just routines.
About the Client
Our client is a 15-year-old young gentleman with Cerebral Palsy, currently recovering from invasive spinal surgery. His recovery is expected to take approximately 6 weeks, depending on progress.
We are looking for someone warm, kind, and communicative, who understands the challenges and possible setbacks of post-surgery recovery. You will work within the family home, supported by both the client s family and our clinical team.
What You ll Be Doing
- Providing 1:1 nursing care throughout post-surgery recovery.
- Monitoring movement, comfort, and pain management to ensure effective recovery.
- Collaborating with the family, our clinical team, and the wider MDT to provide continuity and stability.
A Few Essentials
- Previous experience in Paediatrics and/or post-surgery recovery.
- Calm, patient, and respectful of both quiet time and sociable moments.
- Able to adapt quickly and think on your feet.
- Confident, effective communicator who can work collaboratively with families and clinical teams
