We deliver tailored, compassionate, and safe care for individuals and their families, often during their most challenging times. Our office is based in London, Shoreditch, near Old Street Station.
We are now seeking a Paediatric Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team and oversee our paediatric complex care packages. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, family-centred care while leading and developing clinical teams. You must have a full driving Licence and own a vehicle.
Main Purpose of the Role
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nurses and carers across paediatric packages.
- Maintain clinical accountability for service users in the community, ensuring safe, evidence-based care.
- Assess patient needs, manage risks, and develop holistic, electronic care plans.
- Lead on training, development, and supervision of carers and nurses.
- Ensure compliance with NMC standards, safeguarding policies, and Airmid Staffing’s patient safety protocols.
- Build strong working relationships with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), families, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the regional/local on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments, risk assessments, and write/update care plans.
- Conduct complete face-to-face home visits to supervise care delivery.
- Respond promptly to clinical complaints and incidents in line with company policy.
- Ensure accurate medication administration and adhere to safe clinical practices.
- Supervise and appraise nursing/carer staff, including spot checks and audits.
- Train staff or facilitate training sessions to maintain clinical standards.
- Attend MDT meetings, regulatory inspections, and contribute to service improvement.
- Ensure feedback is obtained from service users and families to improve outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Valid NMC registration (Paediatric Nurse).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in paediatric nursing.
- Strong clinical knowledge of paediatric nursing practices.
- Experience in leadership, supervision, and service user assessments.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- You must have a full driving Licence and own a vehicle.
