Risk Management: Work with Senior Management to identify and manage risks in the trade execution and logistics process, including potential delays, damages, or losses. Develop and implement contingency plans as needed.

Sustainability & Environmental Practices: Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement environmentally sustainable shipping practices, such as optimising routes to reduce carbon emissions.

Team Leadership & Training: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and ensuring that all staff are equipped to handle their roles effectively.

Reporting & Performance Metrics: Maintain detailed records of shipments and trade executions, ensuring tracking and reporting on performance metrics. Prepare regular reports for management on shipping performance, costs, and compliance.

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between internal teams (e.g., trading, sales, finance) and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and logistics providers, regarding trade execution, shipping schedules, and any issues or delays.

Contract Negotiation & Cost Management: Negotiate shipping contracts and rates with carriers and freight providers to minimize shipping costs and optimize service delivery.

Qualifications
