If LinkedIn Recruiter is your starting point and not your ceiling, you'll do well here. We're looking for someone who treats sourcing as a problem to be engineered, not a task to be repeated.

Minerva Defence is one of the fastest-growing defence technology companies in Europe. We create the software, hardware and networking that make unmanned systems effective on the modern battlefield, all ideated, designed and manufactured end-to-end in the UK, and in active use today. We are deliberately low-profile: a team of around 60, small in headcount and outsized in effect. We look for people who are not just talented but genuinely committed to the work, the team, and the purpose behind it.

Sourcing here carries more weight than it does at most companies. The pipeline lives or dies on your ability to identify the right person in a technical discipline you may not have hired in before, write something worth reading, and earn enough trust to start a conversation about a company you can't share much about. The roles span the full technical stack, software and firmware, electronics, mechanical engineering, robotics, and everything adjacent. You'll build real working knowledge of each area. Alongside sourcing, you'll own the operational side of recruitment: scheduling, offers, coordination, and keeping the process running cleanly as hiring scales.

Responsibilities
  • Source passive candidates across a wide range of technical disciplines, using whatever combination of tools, data, and lateral thinking gets to the right person.
  • Write outreach that works without a brand name behind it, specific, human, and worth a reply.
  • Build and run AI-assisted workflows to increase pipeline quality and speed without sacrificing relevance.
  • Screen candidates and assess fit against technical role requirements, in close collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
  • Manage the offer process end to end, from preparation through to acceptance and start date.
  • Maintain clean records in our ATS and provide pipeline visibility to the team.
  • Develop enough technical literacy across our hiring disciplines to have credible early conversations with candidates.
Requirements
  • Minimum: Proven track record in technical sourcing or recruitment, in-house or agency.
  • Demonstrably non-standard approach to finding candidates.
  • Fluent with AI tools and automation as part of everyday sourcing, not occasional experimentation.
  • Based in London, with eligibility for UK security clearance (UK citizen or 5+ years UK residency).
  • Preferred: Experience across both hardware and software hiring, or genuine curiosity about the disciplines you haven't worked in.
  • Exposure to deep tech, or similarly niche technical environments.
  • Experience building sourcing infrastructure from scratch rather than inheriting an existing setup.
  • Familiarity with Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and adjacent sourcing surfaces.
  • End-to-end recruitment coordination experience.
  • Willingness for occasional UK based travel.
Benefits

The job is demanding enough, so we try to take the everyday pressures off your plate. The benefits are built around that, starting with a genuine stake in what we are building.

  • Share options vesting over three years, so you own a real piece of it.
  • Bupa private health, fully funded from day one.
  • 6% employer pension contribution.
  • 25 days leave plus bank holidays, and properly enhanced cover for both parents.
  • Enterprise level AI tooling, with as many tokens as you need to accelerate your work.
  • Relocation support if you are moving to join us, or a home office budget if you work remotely.
