This vacancy is for Minerva Agency (Gibraltar) Ltd. The position involves shifts.
Job scope:
Assist in the day to day duties of our local Agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up orders of spares. Arrange clearance / delivery
- Arrange moorings
- Prepare OKTB & letters for crew
- Co-ordinate arrivals & repatriations
- Arrange accommodation
- Arrange service boats / collect / deliver docs, samples, etc. to-from vessels
- Maintain updated database/logs
- Safe delivery of Cash to Masters
- Providing Third Party vessel quotations
- Arrange medical assistance to crew
- Control / approve pilotage moves
To fill this position, you need to have a passion for shipping, team spirit and be highly motivated as an individual. You will join a group of skilled professionals and be part of one of the largest commodity trading groups in the world.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience working in the Shipping Industry essential. Previous experience in an Agency an advantage.
- Understanding of shipping and maritime terminology.
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Excellent communication skills and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Effective problem solver and able to proactively anticipate problems
- Able to multi-task and ability to be flexible and work to deadlines under pressure
