A rare and rewarding opportunity to join a boutique design and engineering consultancy has arisen. Keen to expand on their design output capabilities, our Client is looking to appoint a Senior/Principal Bridge Engineer, working on New Build projects and Refurbishment of existing structures. This is an ideal opportunity for career development for anyone looking to make that jump to seniority. This role will rapidly allow you to gain further experience with a truly dynamic and fast-moving company, committed to maximising the potential of its employees.
The successful applicant will focus on the delivery of Bridge projects, specifically within the Highway Sector, and be of particular interest to those who focus on the design process. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and expert advice, directing a team and managing projects. You will be given the responsibility to work collectively with a variety of design disciplines and play a decisive role in understanding clients' businesses and building continuing relationships.
Person Specification:
- Senior Engineer: a minimum of 7 years experience
- Principal Engineer: a minimum of 10 years experience
- Chartered engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or equivalent
- Detailed knowledge of and experience in the use of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and other standards and legislation
- A solid background in Structural Design, particularly within the design and refurbishment of bridges
- Effective communication skills with strong Client focus
