A new and exciting opportunity has become available for an Engineer/Technical Coordinator to join an established team and to help develop the business.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate the production of layouts and working drawings.
- Assist in fee negotiations and the appointment of consultants.
- Initial negotiations/enquiries with statutory bodies on environmental, drainage, highways and other engineering issues when apprising land.
- Inspect road and sewer works from commencement to formal adoption by Local Authority.
- Ensure works are carried out within an agreed budget and time scale.
- Provide technical support and information to Construction, Commercial and Sales departments and maintain good communication to ensure the required service is maintained.
- Brief and commission site investigations, topographical survey and other assessment reports on land acquisition.
- Ensure that all pre-and post-development technical information is received, coordinated, distributed on time and within budget whilst liaising closely with Group Technical.
- Register each development with the NHBC and building warrant/control (where applicable), upload EPCs & discharge building regulation conditions and any relevant completion certificates.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience of working as an Engineer for a housebuilder or will have gained experience of working for a Consultancy within the residential housing market. In order to apply for this role you must possess a Civil Engineering Degree or be HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering. Knowledge of most of the development/technical process with the ability to learn more and contribute to areas not originally within their specialism. Attention to detail and organisational skills are key to the success within this role. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, innovation and team working skills. Working knowledge/experience of engineering and CDM regulations. Previous experience as project support within either architecture or engineering is essential. Point to note; ideally my Client requires someone with an engineering bias but they would consider someone from an architectural background. This opportunity will lead to further progression within the company.
