A large independent Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy established in West Yorkshire for almost four decades, with a reputation for providing high-quality services across various sectors including retail, residential, education, industrial, and commercial.
This Consultancy is seeking to appoint two Structural Engineers to join their expanding team as the company enjoys continued growth in its workload. The successful candidates will be key members of the design team, involved in a variety of projects across Commercial, Leisure, and Industrial sectors.
Typical duties will involve:
- Carrying out accurate designs in a variety of materials complying with relevant codes, standards, and accepted good practice.
- Responsibility for verifying output of computer or manual designs.
- Obtaining and clarifying design and detail requirements from Senior/Principal Engineers and other required parties.
- Briefing Technicians, checking Technicians' output, and coordinating the issue of drawings.
Person Specification: Candidates will be (or close to becoming) Chartered (MIStructE/MICE) with up to 5 years of experience. Joining an organisation on the "up", you will enjoy being part of a team while also being able to work independently. Design software used at this Consultancy includes CSC Fastrak, CSC Orion, and Masterseries. The Consultancy is also at the forefront of BIM implementation as it continues to evolve.
