A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Road and Sewer Design Engineer to join a team to produce and complete in-house road and sewer designs on CAD. You will check in association with external legal teams all legal agreements including section agreements, deed of easements, and utility provision (in conjunction with Services Engineer). You will be required to attend and actively participate in all pre-start meetings, monthly site meetings, and other meetings as required to review and assess progress and provide constructive and frequent feedback on project performance.
As part of your role, you will advise on and commission the appointment of external consultants for site investigations, structural and civil services, topographical, environmental investigations, dilapidation surveys, flooding reports, and transportation assessments. You will ensure consultants comply with the terms of their formal appointment so that all information and reports are received, reviewed, checked, co-ordinated, and distributed on time and within budget, ensuring the company procures best value design and input from consulting engineers.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in securing technical approval and section agreements for roads and sewers within residential projects is essential.
- The ideal candidate will support the commercial department in completing outstanding road and sewer adoptions, as well as coordinate remediation statements and validation works.
- The ability to support all departments on engineering issues and coordinate any supporting engineering designs is desirable.
- Ability to liaise with statutory undertakers and obtain service proposals including phased payments, as well as produce engineering appraisal reports is desirable.
